September 2024 – Insightful Talk from Healthcare Homes
The usual excellent breakfast and lively conversation.
Guest speaker, Amanda-Jane Frank from Healthcare Homes
Amanda-Jane described the various services and facilities offered by Healthcare Homes, which has 50 facilities in Suffolk, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Cambridge, Dorset, Kent, Bristol, Herts and Oxford. Some are only residential and some offer both residential and nursing care.
All clients get a chance to be shown around the facilities, as well as a health care plan and pre-assessments. This allows for care to be catered to individual needs.
Options range from residential, nursing, and respite care to a specialism in dementia care. Care can be at home or live-in.
There is a registered capacity to care for over 2,400 residents with over 3000 staff members.
She explained the difference between residential and nursing care. Residential is where clients live in one of the facilities while nursing care can be residential or at home.
The organisation will communicate with the client’s GP, social worker, or other professionals closely associated with them.
