Every picture tells a story
Guest speaker, Penny Morgan, of Love Your Image, explained how to get the best of your images and why they are important to your business.
Your brand is more than just a logo. It encompasses everything you do in your business, why you do it and your beliefs and values.
The images on your website should give some idea about all these.
When you are networking face to face, you will convey many of these things, but increasingly when people use online sources, they will need more information “so it is essential to be visible to your audience”, she said.
It is more than just having a good clear headshot, preferably taken with a camera rather than a mobile phone. People tend to ‘over–pose’ when they take selfies and also the quality of the picture is not as good.
You need to use photos and videos to help people relate to you and build a rapport.
Every photographer will have their own style and ways of earning your trust so it is important to talk to them before you get anywhere near a camera, discuss what you want and, of course,
your budget.
