April 2018 breakfast

A lovely new summer venue for a “painful” meeting!

April 2018- Finborough HallThankfully, there were no roadworks to impede getting to our potential new summer venue in the lovely setting of Finborough Hall, Great Finborough.

A show of hands from attendees confirmed that we shall be returning!

The theme of the presentations was pain, and apart from Annya Stoddart’s committing GBH on the earholes with a loud cheer celebrating the completion of new videos for her mindfulness project, the emphasis was on how people’s various services would contribute to minimising or eliminating pain.

Annya proceeded to demonstrate just how painless her Pain Relief Clinic’s acupuncture treatment is by sticking a needle in her arm.

Norman Wilson described how his company, W-L-P, helps small businesses and organisations “get from A to B” as smoothly as possible, which has included helping West Norfolk Council reduce its council tax charges.

April 2018 - Breakfast networkingBusiness Plumber, Kate Kelly, helps businesses stuck in painful situations by helping them to identify where processes are not working efficiently and Peter Stanway of Hillcrest HR, and Albert Peters, of Pegasus HR, take the pain out of difficult HR issues.

Those who find admin a pain in the neck can call on Suzanne Bloomfield, of SB Bookkeeping, to relieve them of their Bookkeeping chores, and Keely Taylor, of KTSS will sort out the filing and chase those unpaid invoices, while Mike Drain’s two businesses offer pain relief both figuratively, through Superb Travel Suffolk driving you from Suffolk to anywhere, and literally, by providing chiropody services as The Suffolk Foot Man.

SMEs can find IT pain relief from Shelli Moyes, of MPMIT, while Chris Storey, of SB Surveyors, can relieve painful property issues. Allan Scott’s Mill House Media has a pain-relieving solution to GDPR-related email list management and Alison Withers, of multimedia reputations, relieves businesses of the headache of writing regular blogs and website content.

Finally, if all this pain is making you long for time out, Tracy Wood, of Tailor and Made, will organise a bespoke holiday and Linda Barbour, of Calm for Change, will help you clear your mind and think more positively.

April 2018 - John Reynard presentingA different approach to business coaching

Our presentation this month was from John Reynard, a successful entrepreneur who is now the Spirited Entrepreneur, a business coach with a holistic approach combining practical business solutions with psychology and emotional understanding.

He explained that business life can be a battle, clients can be a “pain” as can staff, and then there is the worry of succession planning.

John works with CEOs to help them to better manage their workloads, their relationships with staff and to understand when to delegate or have the confidence to turn down pieces of work.

It is all about trust without micro-managing, motivation and becoming inspirational leaders.
